Why your dental practice MUST produce a patient newsletter!

I speak to many practices and all have been affected by the recession to a greater or lesser extent. In these trying times it is vital that you look after and make the most of your existing patients. They must feel that they are the most valued people in the practice and that you are pulling out all the stops to care for them. If they feel this then they will become massive fans of the practice and an unpaid sales force!
A patient newsletter is a vital tool in this process. This should be mailed to all your patients around 3 times a year. Yes, mailed - receiving a physical newsletter is so much more appreciated than an email or on a website. This patient newsletter will:
- Inform your patient base of offers, new products and services
- Illustrate how you value their custom ensuring they keep coming back
- Generate response - a call to action is always included to allow accurate measurement of response
- Reactivate irregular attendees
- Encourage referrals
All this is relatively inexpensive and an unrivalled way of promoting the care you offer at your practice. If you aren't doing a patient newsletter, why not?!
